Man arrested over Walton-on-Thames cyclist death

A man has been arrested after a cyclist died and a van driver was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash.

The woman, in her 50s, died at the scene in Molesey Road, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.

The crash at 06:40 BST on Thursday involved a car, a van and a tanker.

A 34-year-old man from Walton-on-Thames was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.

He has been released on bail until 26 June.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them.
