Man arrested over East Molesey cyclist hit-and-run

A man has been arrested after a cyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Surrey on Saturday.

The male cyclist, who is in his 20s, was struck by a white car at the junction of the A309 Hampton Court Way and Bridge Road in East Molesey.

He was treated for leg injuries at St George's Hospital in south London where he remains in a serious condition.

The man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop after a collision.

Surrey Police said the 27-year-old had been bailed until 6 April.
