Man jailed over £1.5m Epsom haulage yard arson

A man has been jailed for four years and 10 months for starting a fire that caused £1.5m of damage to lorries in a haulage yard in Surrey.

Carl Richardson, 35, of no fixed abode, previously admitted two counts of arson at Kingston Crown Court, and was jailed on Thursday.

He was given jail terms of 58 months and 29 months to run concurrently.

Ten vehicles parked at Penwarden Haulage in Epsom, were damaged, nine beyond repair, last October.
