Two men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle-taking after a car hit a railway bridge in Surrey.

The car, taken from the Old Dean area of Camberley, was being pursued by police when it hit the bridge in Frimley High Street about 08:30 BST.

The two men were taken to hospital as a precaution, Surrey Police said.

The road has been closed between Station Road and the A331 because of damage to the bridge and trains are not running between Aldershot and Ascot.

Tickets being accepted on Stagecoach and Great Western Railway routes and replacement buses are running.

South West Trains engineers are at the scene assessing the damage.
