Flooding in Surrey affects dozens of properties

Flash floods in Surrey have affected dozens of homes and businesses, the fire service said.

A disabled woman was rescued from her flooded home at Monument Road, in Woking.

Crews were also called to about 30 other premises in Woking, West Byfleet and Reigate.

Part of the Shah Jahan Mosque, in Woking, flooded, where some events for children have been cancelled.

Head Imam Hafiz Saeed Hashmi said at least one hall would be reopen for Friday prayers.

Surrey Police said "many" roads were flooded and warned motorists to drive with "care and courtesy".

Several roads around Maybury were closed and diversions set up.
