Pair in court after door shooting in Crawley

Two men have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was shot through the door of his home.

Daniel Martin, 30, of Sherborne Street, Birmingham, and Delroy Hare, 50, of Fleet Street, Birmingham were committed to Lewes Crown Court on Monday.

They are also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life following the shooting in Park Way, Crawley, West Sussex on 3 August.

Both men were remanded in custody until 30 September.

A 50-year-old man arrested on 7 August has been bailed until 26 October.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his leg in the attack. Police said he slammed the door on his attacker before two shots were fired.
