Three men are still being questioned by detectives investigating the murder of a man whose burnt body was discovered on a golf course in Sussex.

The body of 37-year-old Stefan Welch, who lived at a hostel in Brighton, was found at the Dyke Golf Club by golfers last Saturday.

Police have been given until early on Sunday to hold a 21-year-old man from Portslade, who was arrested on Tuesday.

Two other men, aged 44 and 23, were arrested in Hove on Friday.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Welch probably died from a blow to the head.

Detectives believe he was murdered elsewhere before being taken to the golf club on the South Downs and set alight.
