Robbers target Santander bank cash delivery in Hove

Two men who held up a late-night cash delivery to a bank in Sussex are being sought by police.

They targeted two security guards who were taking cash to the Santander bank in George Street, Hove, at about 2330 BST on Thursday.

Police said they handed over the cash after they were threatened with what is thought to have been a gun. The exact amount of money stolen is not known.

The guards were not injured during the incident.

One of the suspects was described as black, 6ft to 6ft 3in tall, and of a slim to medium build.

He was wearing a woollen scarf and gloves, a black baseball cap, and a black jacket. He had a local accent and is believed to have been holding a small black gun.

The second offender was described as being about 6ft 2in tall, and of heavier build. He was wearing a black jacket and a black motorbike helmet with white markings.
