Man jailed for Barnham sex attack on woman, aged 78

A 44-year-old man has been jailed for indecently assaulting a pensioner in West Sussex 10 years ago.

Derek Stevenson was found guilty of carrying out the attack and was also convicted of false imprisonment at Chichester Crown Court.

Stevenson, of Moffat in Dumfries and Galloway, who attacked the 78-year-old woman in Barnham in October 2000, was jailed for two years.

He was arrested in Scotland earlier this year and later charged.
