Pedestrian hit by car in Sedlescombe seriously injured

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a car in East Sussex late at night.

Emergency teams were called to The Street in Sedlescombe, the B2244 road, just after 2320 BST on Saturday.

Police said an 18-year-old male pedestrian from Hastings was hit by a Chrysler Voyager driven by a 39-year-old local woman.

Officers said the man suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision and appealed for witnesses.
