Pedestrian killed by car in Brighton identified

A pedestrian who was killed when he was hit by a car in Brighton has been named by police.

Adrian Weakley, 44, of Brangwyn Avenue, Brighton, was struck by a Ford Focus on the A23 at Patcham on Sunday.

The driver of the car, a 42-year old Norfolk woman, was treated for shock at the scene.

Her two passengers, aged nine and 12, suffered slight injuries. Sussex Police have appealed for witnesses to contact officers.
