A third man has been charged with the murder of a man whose body was found in an empty house in Brighton.

Craig Palmer's body was discovered in a top-floor room of a four-storey house in Russell Square on 15 January.

Bartlomiej Szostek, 27, is due before Brighton magistrates after being charged by Sussex Police.

Mike Zur, 28, and John Battams, 40, both of no fixed address, were charged last month and are due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 8 April.

A post-mortem examination suggested that Mr Palmer, 33, died from head injuries.

No weapons are believed to have been used in the attack.

Mr Palmer was of no fixed address but had been living in the city for a number of years.

The building where he was found, a terraced property, had been vacant since last September when the owner died.
