Man arrested over bank robberies in Brighton and Hove

A man is being questioned by police in Sussex investigating three bank robberies in Brighton and Hove.

The 56-year old man, from Hove, was arrested on suspicion of robbery in Western Road, Brighton, on Wednesday in a pre-planned police operation.

The NatWest Bank in Church Road, Hove, was robbed on Tuesday by a man who waited in a queue to reach the cashier.

The Co-op Bank, in Brighton, was raided on 1 March, and the Halifax building society, in Hove, four days earlier.
