Fourth man remanded accused of Sussex man's murder

A 22-year-old man has been remanded in custody accused of murdering a man whose body was found in an empty Brighton house.

Craig Palmer's body was discovered in a top-floor room of a four-storey house in Russell Square on 15 January.

Ireneusz Malesza, of no fixed address, appeared at Lewes Crown Court charged with murder.

No plea was entered and he will next appear at the same court on 6 May for a plea and case management hearing.

Mr Malesza is the fourth man to be charged with the murder of 33-year-old Mr Palmer.

John Battams, 40, Mike Zur, 28, and Bartlomiej Szostek, 27, all of no fixed address, are due to appear before Lewes Crown Court on 8 April.

Mr Palmer was of no fixed address but had been living in the city for a number of years.
