Investigation follows Gravesend arson attacks
An investigation has been launched following three arson attacks on properties in north Kent.
Kent Police said two fires were lit in derelict homes in Ferguson Avenue, Gravesend, on Thursday evening.
Another blaze was started in a garage in nearby Poplar Avenue at about the same time.
Officers said the fires were being treated as suspicious and have appealed for witnesses. They do not yet know whether all three are linked.
A spokeswoman said: "Both houses were awaiting demolition. However, severe damage was caused by the flames.
"A joint investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched by Kent Police and Kent Fire and Rescue Service and a detailed examination of all three scenes has taken place.
"It is unclear at this time if the garage fire is linked to the other two house fires."
