Hampshire teenager, 17, dies in West Sussex road crash

A teenager from Hampshire has died after a road crash in West Sussex.

The 17-year-old, from Emsworth, was pronounced dead at the scene on the A286 at West Dean, near Chichester.

Sussex Police were called at about 0620 BST to reports the Ford Fiesta he was driving had hit a tree.

Road closures are in place between the B2141 and Singleton Open Air Museum while forensic examinations are carried out and the vehicle is removed.
