The Red Arrows and the Breitling Wingwalkers are two of the attractions set to appear at this year's Eastbourne International Airshow.

At the launch event, the line-up of displays for the show which runs between 11 and 14 August was announced.

The Royal Navy's Black Cats and Raiders parachute display team will be appearing at the show for the first time.

There will also be four big screens in the town during the show.

'In for a treat'

Also included on the bill for Airbourne 2011 are demonstrations by the RAF's Tucano, Tutor, Hawk, and Tornado aircraft and the Blades aerobatic display team.

Councillor Neil Stanley from Eastbourne Borough Council said: "With a few more displays still being finalised, Airbourne fans are certainly in for a treat this summer."

The Marines unarmed combat team will be on-show in the arena and there will be evening concerts in the bandstand as well as a firework finale.

In 2009, the £5 entry fee for Eastbourne Airbourne was scrapped after the airshow attracted only 48,000 paying customers in 2008.

An estimated 500,000 attended the airshow in 2010.
