Sussex pedestrian named after fatal motorbike crash

A pedestrian who died after being hit by a motorcycle in Worthing has been named as Alan Edward Barber.

Mr Barber, 70, of North Lane, Portslade was injured in North Street at about 1610 BST on Friday 1 July near the Bath Store shop.

He was taken to Worthing Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

A 52-year old man from Worthing was riding the motorbike and was taken to the same hospital but was discharged after treatment.

Sussex Police has urged anyone who witnessed the accident to contact them.
