Brighton milkman arrested after cyclist hurt in crash

A milk-float driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after an accident which seriously injured a cyclist in Brighton.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, in Madeira Drive at about 08:20 BST on Tuesday.

The cyclist, 48, from Pulborough, West Sussex, is being treated for life-threatening injuries at a neurological unit in Haywards Heath.

Police said the 22-year-old milk-float driver was bailed until 6 September.
