Woman 'drove car at teenage girl' at Eastbourne Asda

A motorist has been arrested on suspicion of injuring a teenage girl by deliberately driving at her in a supermarket car park in East Sussex.

Sussex Police said the woman was held on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.

Officers were called to Asda at the Crumbles Centre in Eastbourne at 16:00 BST on Monday after a 17-year-old girl suffered bruising to her leg.

The 33-year-old woman has been bailed until 5 October.

Det Con Erika Owen said a line of inquiry was that a car had been "deliberately driven at the girl following a dispute".
