Man under guard in Surrey hospital after car theft arrest

A man is under police guard at Royal Surrey County Hospital after being arrested for car theft and robbery.

Police said a Ford Fiesta was stolen from Runfold, in Surrey, at 23:22 BST on Friday before being driven to Bentley Rail Station, in Hampshire, and burnt out.

A blue Audi A3, which was stolen by a man with a knife near the station, was later crashed in Harper's Road, Ash.

A man, 35, was later held and taken to hospital with neck and head injuries.
