Cyclist injured in Worthing 'hammer attack'

A 60-year-old cyclist has been treated for cuts after being hit on the head with a hammer in an alleged road rage incident.

The incident happened in Gratwicke Road, Worthing, on Wednesday afternoon after he collided with a car.

Sussex Police said a 20-year-old man from East Preston was later arrested and charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear before Worthing magistrates next week.
