Driver threatened with axe in Horsham road rage attack

A 38-year-old motorist was threatened with an axe during a road rage attack on the A24 in West Sussex.

Sussex Police said a man driving a Toyota Harrier had negotiated the Daux roundabout near Horsham when a driver shouted abuse and waved an axe at him.

The motorist was then confronted near the Robin Hood roundabout and verbally threatened at about on Monday evening before the Mondeo driver sped off.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

The driver was described as a white male, about 5ft 11in tall, in his mid-50s and of large build.
