'Four people' carry out Crawley head wound attack

An attack on a man which left him with a deep cut to the head is thought to be have been carried out by a group of about four people.

Sussex Police said the man received the head injury in an incident in Tilgate Parade, Crawley, on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old victim was taken to East Surrey Hospital for treatment after the attack.

Det Sgt Allie Hughes said: "It is believed that the victim was hit to the head by a group of around four people."
