Man robbed in knifepoint attack in Hastings

A 29-year-old man has been robbed at knifepoint during an attack in East Sussex.

Sussex Police said the local man had jewellery and cash stolen by two men in Brendon Road, Hastings, at about 21.45 BST on Monday.

Officers are carrying out house-to-house inquiries and viewing CCTV footage of the area.

The force has appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact officers.

Det Sgt Paul Sandeman, of Sussex Police, said: "This was a frightening incident for the victim and we are keen to find those responsible."

The knifeman was described as being of mixed race, aged in his 20s, 5ft 8in tall and of slim build.

He was said to be wearing a check shirt, jeans and Reebok classic trainers.

The other man was described as white, aged in his late 30s to 40s, 6ft 2in tall and of a large build.

He had two stud earrings in his left ear and was wearing blue jeans and a puffa style jacket.
