The family of an East Sussex man who died after going to the aid of a friend who had skidded off his motorcycle have spoken of their devastation.

Kenneth Jarrett, from Hailsham, and another man, were riding their bikes in Carters Corner when they stopped sharply to avoid a stationary lorry.

Mr Jarrett managed to stop but the 62-year-old other biker came off his Triumph, suffering minor injuries.

Mr Jarrett went to see if he was okay but collapsed and could not be revived.

In a statement, his family said: "Our dad, granddad and husband decorated our lives with much love and laughter.

"We are all devastated that he's gone from our lives and he will be greatly missed forever."
