Brighton man pleads not guilty to murder attempt charge

A man has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder after a 33-year-old man was seriously injured in Brighton.

Patrick Lyons, 55, of Down Terrace, Brighton, also denied causing grievous bodily harm with intent during a hearing at Lewes Crown Court.

Two women also denied charges connected to the incident in The Causeway on 16 July, when a man was allegedly attacked before he was hit by a car.

All three will face a trial at the same court from 3 January 2012

Louise Lyons, 29, of Carden Avenue, denied causing grievous bodily harm with intent and actual bodily harm.

She was remanded in custody, along with Mr Lyons.

Katie Lyons, 26, of Firle Road, denied causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and was granted bail until the trial date.
