Driver, 89, dies after collision at Five Ashes

An 89-year-old man has died in hospital following a collision between two cars in East Sussex.

The crash happened on the A272 at Five Ashes on Tuesday at 18:10 GMT on Tuesday.

Anthony Hinson from Cross in Hand was driving a BMW Z4 sports car when he was in collision with a BMW saloon car.

His passenger, an 82-year-old woman from Cross in Hand remains in hospital and the other driver, a 29-year-old Mayfield man, suffered slight bruising.

Sussex Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.
