Swiss students robbed in Eastbourne

Three foreign language students from Switzerland have been robbed in an East Sussex seaside town.

The boys, aged 16, were targeted by a group of teenagers at the junction of Firle Road and Whitley Road in Eastbourne.

One of the group threatened the boys with a knife while the others took their wallets and mobile phones.

Det Con Phil Cracknell said: "This was a frightening experience for three young boys visiting Eastbourne."

He appealed for witnesses to the robbery, which happened at about 23:00 GMT on Friday.

The group of robbers was made up of two boys and two girls.

One of the girls was wearing a black dress and was carrying her black high heel shoes. One of the boys had a tanned complexion and a dark moustache.
