A jury trying a care home worker accused of killing a Sussex care home resident by starting a fire in her room has retired to consider its verdict.

Rebecca Reasbeck, 20, is accused of starting a blaze in Irene Herring's room at Ancaster Court in Hastings.

Mrs Herring, 85, was rescued by firefighters but died the following day of pneumonia brought on by smoke inhalation, Lewes Crown Court heard.

Ms Reasbeck, from St Leonards, denies a charge of manslaughter.
