Driver injured when car hits bus on A267 at Mark Cross

A bus full of schoolchildren was in involved a collision with a car in a village in East Sussex.

Fire crews cut the car driver free from his vehicle following the accident on the A267 at Mark Cross at 08:00 GMT.

Sussex Police said his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. A number of schoolchildren were on the bus but were not seriously hurt.

Resident Sue Martin said the A267 was an accident blackspot and called for more effective safety measures.
