Brighton man held at gunpoint in Regency Square raid

A 25-year-old man was held at gunpoint by two men during a robbery at his flat in Brighton, police have said.

Three "high value" watches were stolen in the robbery at Regency Square shortly before 14:00 GMT on Saturday.

Police called to the scene cordoned off Regency Square while armed officers searched the building but the robbers had already left.

Sussex Police said the two gunmen were known to the victim of the robbery, who was not seriously injured.

The suspects are described as black, one in his late 20s to early 30s, and the other slightly older.

The older man is described as tall, slim and wearing glasses with the other shorter and of a stocky, muscular build. Both men spoke with London accents.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
