Water cut-off in thousands of Horsham homes after main bursts

Thousands of homes in West Sussex have been left without water after a main burst, flooding gardens in the surrounding area.

The homes in Horsham have been cut-off since 21:30 GMT on Tuesday, when the pipe first burst in the Leechpool Lane area of the town.

Southern Water said crews hoped to have the homes re-connected by 12:00 GMT.

The company said crews were on site carrying out repairs to deal with the problem.
