Search for family of man killed in St Leonards flat fire

Police are trying to trace the family of a 57-year-old man who died following a fire in a flat in East Sussex.

A 60-year-old woman who was arrested after the fire in a flat in St Leonards on Wednesday remains in custody.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue was called to the blaze in Charmaine Court in St Margaret's Road at 23:30 GMT.

A provisional results of a post-mortem examination showed that the man had died from the effects of smoke inhalation.

The 60-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder after being discharged from hospital where she had been treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.
