Man threatened with syringe needle in St Leonards

A man was threatened with a hypodermic needle before being robbed by three men in East Sussex.

The victim was stopped in Stonehouse Drive in St Leonards at about 23:30 GMT on Saturday by a man who asked for a cigarette.

As he walked away, a second man asked for the time and then took a needle out of his pocket and held it to the victim's cheek.

A gold chain and cash were stolen during the robbery.

One of the suspects was described as white, aged between 20 and 30, 5ft 9in tall and slim. He was wearing a hooded top and black duffle coat.

The second man is white, in his early 30s, 6ft 1in tall, wearing a black padded jacket and grey hooded top.

The third suspect is 6ft tall, slim and was wearing dark clothes.

Sussex Police have asked anyone who say the robbery or has any information on the attack to contact them
