Man charged after A27 break-down death

A 36-year-old man has been charged after a 58-year-old man died in a crash in Sussex.

Alf Filer, from Worthing, suffered fatal injuries while standing near his broken down car on the A27 near Hangleton at 22:20 BST on 23 June.

Sussex Police have charged a man with causing death by dangerous driving and with careless driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.

He is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
