Driver sought over eight-car A27 Hangleton crash

A driver who may have caused an eight car crash in Sussex before driving off is being sought by police.

Sussex Police said they would like "a little chat" with the driver of a black hatchback who may have caused the shunt on the A27 at Hangleton.

The eight cars collided at about 07:45 GMT on the eastbound carriageway leaving one woman with a neck injury.

A spokesman said: "This looks as though it may have been initiated by a not particularly clever piece of driving."

He said the driver "didn't hang around to view the result" and drove off.

"We'd like a little chat with them," he added.

Sussex Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.
