Motorist killed in Long Furlong lorry crash named

A driver who was killed in an accident between his car and a lorry in West Sussex has been named by police.

John Brown, 62, of Amberley Road, Storrington, was driving a Peugeot estate which collided head-on with an HGV on the A280 at Long Furlong.

He was confirmed dead at the scene of the crash, near Findon, which happened at about 14:25 GMT on Wednesday.

The lorry driver was unhurt. Police have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to contact them.
