A police appeal to find a man wanted in connection with a string of burglaries is to feature on the BBC's Crimewatch programme.

Sussex police want to speak to Barrie Gordon Williamson, 48, in connection with burglaries in Worthing, Lancing, Brighton, Seaford and Eastbourne.

The force said Mr Williamson also had links to Milton Keynes, Norfolk, Lancashire, Kent and Hampshire.

He also uses the names Chris Williamson and Paul Hutchinson, the force said.

Williamson has a north-east accent and is believed to use public transport to get around.

An appeal for information will be broadcast on Crimewatch at 21:00 GMT on BBC One on Thursday.
