Teenager charged over Darren Croxton murder in Hailsham
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed in East Sussex.
Darren Croxton, 25, was found with serious injuries in Bramble Drive, Hailsham, at 16:30 GMT on Sunday and died on Monday morning.
The boy appeared before magistrates at Eastbourne Youth Court on Thursday morning and was remanded in custody.
Four other people have been released on bail, with a number of other people arrested now ruled out of the inquiry.
Sussex Police said a 20-year-old man from Hastings arrested on Wednesday morning and a 17-year-old boy held since Tuesday had been released on conditional bail.
Officers had earlier released an 18-year-old man and a 16-year old boy on bail until 22 February.
Five other teenagers and three men have been released with no further action.
A post-mortem examination found Mr Croxton, who had a young daughter and lived in Hailsham, died as a result of stab wounds inflicted by a knife.
The teenager facing the murder charge, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear before Lewes Crown Court on Monday.
