Toddler in hospital after being hit by car in Southwick

A two-year-old girl is in a stable condition in hospital after she was hit by a car in Sussex.

Police were called to Albion Street, in Southwick, on Sunday, shortly before 16:00 GMT, following reports of a collision.

The girl, who has not been named, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, with serious head and internal injuries.

Any witnesses have been asked to contact Sussex Police.
