'Kaiserbach sales' East Sussex trading standards alert

A doorstep salesman trying to sell kitchenware has sparked a trading standards alert across East Sussex.

Officers have issued a warning after receiving complaints about the man selling knives, saucepans and cutlery which he claims are made by Kaiserbach.

The man, who drives a people carrier, claims the cutlery is left over from a trade fair.

Trading standards staff are concerned the items may be fake and have urged residents to be cautious.

They are also concerned consumers are being duped into the sale or not being given the option to cancel or change their minds.

Councillor Carl Maynard said it was thought the salesman was operating across the county.
