Cocaine hidden in chocolate powder seized at Gatwick

Cocaine with an estimated value of £350,000 has been found inside tubs of chocolate powder at Gatwick Airport.

Border Force officers discovered the drugs, which weighed 3.5kg (7.7lb), after they stopped two passengers who had flown into the UK from Antigua.

The force said the tubs of chocolate powder were hidden inside a suitcase seized at the airport's South Terminal.

A woman aged 39 and a 16-year-old girl from Walsall, West Midlands, have been arrested and bailed until 8 June.

The Border Force has just released details of the seizure, which happened on Saturday.
