Jeffrey Burrows murder in Brighton: Man in court

A man who is accused of stabbing to death a 40-year-old widower at his Brighton flat has appeared in court.

Jeffrey Burrows, who grew up in Dungannon, County Tyrone, was fatally stabbed at his flat in Norfolk Square, where he lived alone, on 29 April.

Joel Elliott, 22, of North Road, Brighton, appeared at Lewes Crown Court charged with murder on Tuesday.

A second man, aged 21, who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on police bail until 29 May.
