Man dies at scene of car crash in Southwater

A 44-year-old man has died in a crash involving two cars in West Sussex.

Jeffrey Green, of Eversfield, Southwater, was a passenger in a Ford Fiesta which was in a crash with a Toyota Land Cruiser, in Worthing Road, Southwater, at 16:45 BST on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old driver of the Fiesta and another passenger, aged 27, were seriously injured, Sussex Police said.

Both men were airlifted to hospital where they remain in a critical condition.

The 44-year-old driver of the Toyota had minor arm injuries.

Sussex Police said the three men in the Ford Fiesta lived locally.

They have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or any events leading up to it, to contact them.
