Two arrested in Worthing after man stabbed

Two men have been arrested after a 25-year-old man was stabbed in West Sussex.

Officers found the injured man in Pavilion Road, Worthing, at 02:20 BST.

The man, who is believed to be local, was taken to hospital in Brighton, where his condition is stable. He is being treated for three stab wounds.

The two men, aged 21 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

The victim, who was stabbed in his abdomen and thigh, had been at a party before the stabbing.

"There were about 30 people at the party and I appeal to them and anyone in the area who may have information or saw what happened to come forward," said Det Insp Dave Richards.
