Brighton street attack: Victim is 'improving'
A 36-year-old man who was left critically injured after an attack in a Brighton street is said to be improving in hospital.
The man suffered serious head injuries in St James's Street between 23:30 BST on Thursday and 00:30 BST on Friday.
Sussex Police believe his attackers fled the scene on a motorbike and have released CCTV images of bike travelling the wrong way down St James's Street.
Two teenagers questioned over the attack were released on bail.
Sussex Police said the victim continued to improve and detectives hope to interview him later this week.
Det Ch Insp Jeff Riley said: "We are particularly keen for the occupants of the car seen in the CCTV image to please get in touch.
"There appears to be a number of people in this car and I am confident that some of them would have noticed the two men on the moped turning into St James's Street in the wrong direction.
"I would also like to hear from anyone else who recognises themselves from the CCTV image and has not yet come forward."
