An 85-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a 71-year old woman was found in the bedroom of her home in Hove.

Police and paramedics found the body of the woman, who has not been named, at a flat in Court Farm Road, shortly after 10:30 GMT on Thursday.

The man was taken from the flat to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

He was later arrested. The woman's next of kin are being informed.
