Former Hove police station could house junior school classrooms

A former police station could be used as classrooms for junior school pupils after the site was bought by Brighton and Hove City Council.

The station in Holland Road, Hove, closed in February.

The council said it would consult on a proposal for West Hove Junior School to run four forms of entry on the site.

A council spokeswoman said the school had agreed "in principle" to the proposal, but will wait for the outcome of the six-week public consultation.

Detailed design work has begun for the site to be converted.
