Man charged over Crawley pub attempted rape

A man has been charged with attempting to rape a woman in the toilets of a Sussex pub.

The 46-year-old woman was approached by a man in the Dr Samuel Johnson pub in Langley Parade, Crawley in the early hours of Sunday.

Sussex police said a 28-year-old man from Crawley has been charged with attempted rape.

He is due to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court later.
